Gold Tudor Renaissance Girdle Belt

This page shows our gold renaissance girdle belt. The base metal is pewter which is then very heavily plated in 22K gold. The jewels used are genuine, and all girdles are custom made so that the owner can pick out the jewels that best suit their needs. Other options are the closure for the waist which can be either a metal clasp or ribbon are also individual choices.

The use of the double pearl pieces was a very popular style across many countries, can be seen in numerous portraits. In early Tudor times the long chain dropping down from the waist was the style, later on during the Elizabethan period, the long chain was removed. This girdle can be made up to give you the option of either choice. Or one could have the belt made so that the long chain is removable and could also be worn as a matching necklace.

This girdle would make a wonderful addition to any court garb, and would be a wonderful piece of jewelry to wear with a wedding gown. And is perfect for an SCA event. Please feel free to contact us for pricing and options, we love to hear from one and all.
