Blue Brocade Renaissance Wedding Dress Gown

This page shows information about our brocade renaissance gown. It is styled as a court dress in the style of Queen Elizabeth's coronation gown and could easily be worn as a wedding gown. The bodice has a long pointed front front and is back laced. The skirt is attached to the bodice with cartridge pleating. The sleeves are sewn into the bodice of this renaissance gown. The bodice neck line and sleeve cuffs are heavily beaded with fresh water pearls and gold beads. This gown is an early style elizabethan dress.

Blue Brocade Renaissance Bridal Wedding Gown Details

GOWN

The bodice, sleeves and skirt of this gown are all constructed of the same brocade.

SLEEVES

While we normally do not sew in sleeves, in this case, due to the earlier Elizabethan time period than most of our gowns the design works best with the sleeves sewn into the bodice.

SKIRT

The skirt is cartridge pleated to the bodice including the point of the bodice. There are two bumrolls worn under the gown.

BEADED GOWN TRIM

The bead work on this wedding style gown is of fresh water pearls with some gold beads. Further details can be found on the linked pictures.
