Blush Silk Renaissance Wedding Gown


This page shows information about our silk renaissance gown. It is styled as a court gown and could easily be worn as a wedding gown. The bodice has a cuved front and is back laced. The bodice and overskirt are made of an iridescent silk.The trim is silver filigree with silk rows sewn between, tucked into bows and finished with fresh water pearls. The sleeves are made of the same materials also finished with the silver trim, and are lined in linen. The underskirt is made of silk lampas with a large bird design.

Blush Silk Renaissance Gown Details





BODICE

Bodice, overskirt and sleeves, are made from gold and blush changeable shantung silk. The trim work adorning the bodice, overskirt and sleeves are made of silver tinsel trim. Between the rows of trim are bows made from silver and taupe changeable silk taffeta, with fresh water pearls sewn to the centers.


SLEEVES

The sleeves are made of the same material as the bodice and overskirt.  


OVERSKIRT

The overskirt is hand cartridge pleated into the waist band, with a circumference of  about 180".   And is trimed in the same manner as the bodice.


UNDERSKIRT

The underskirt is faked with cream linen as proper for an Elizabethan underskirt and has a slight train. The fore-panel is made of silk lampas. Further details can be found on the linked pictures.
