Blue Velvet Renaissance Court Gown

Pictured below are various views of an Elizabethan renaissance court gown. Each image can be clicked on in order to see a larger detailed photograph. The gown is made primarily of a sea blue cotton velvet. Black and grey silk brocade was used for the sleeves and fore panel. A woven trim was used and finally the bodice was trimmed with some rather nice fresh water pearls.

The Elizabethan renaissance gown pictured on this page is made of a cotton velvet dyed a sea blue. The underskirt and sleeves are made of black and gray brocade silk. The great sleeves are lined in black peau de soie.

A detailed jacquard trim has been hand sewn on both the overskirt and the bodice. Large baroque fresh water pearls are sewn on for accent.
